Six Sigma defines quality in terms of conformance to specifications. Thus, the effectiveness of the Six Sigma methodology depends on the effectiveness of specifications. DFSS is a design method that achieves Six Sigma quality levels for a product by designing and specifying the product correctly before producing it. Near-Perfect Architecture (NPA) utilizes the four concepts below to ensure high quality requirements, optimal design, efficient production, and sufficient quality of the implemented product.
More About Statistical Controls "In God we trust. All others must bring data." W. Edwards Deming. KT1 Design uses four sets of statistical controls to measure quality. The first set measures the quality of the customer requirements (RQ). The second set measures Design Quality (DQs). The third set measures Project Quality (PQs). The fourth set measures Operational Quality (OQs). |
