The successful implementation of a technology environment utilizing a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) requires clear specification of "What" the SOA is. The information specifying a SOA is a Service Oriented Business Architecture (SOBA). A SOBA is comprised of two layers of information: the Business Architecture Layer (BAL) and the Business Logic Layer (BLL).
